Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1983. The graduate Program B.E. Mechanical was introduced in 1985. At present, the Department offers Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering, Post Graduate Program in Design and Heat Power Engineering. Our Department holds a good reputation for producing eminent engineers as professionals, entrepreneurs and researchers. Many of our alumni occupy key positions in industries as well as in institutions across India and abroad.

  • The vision of the First Year Engineering Department is to gear up the students to gain knowledge of their respective branches by inculcating basic facts of Engineering and Science at PVPIT.

Mission

  • To provide students with an environment that will help them achieve an engineering career that reflects their interests and abilities.
  • To impart fundamental engineering knowledge to students in fields that include mechanical, civil, computer, electrical, and electronic engineering. 
  • To offer strong technical and fundamental knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and communication skills, which will provide students with an excellent foundation for developing their engineering skills at PVPIT.

  • Electronics and Telecommunication can be viewed as the transmission, reception and processing of the information using electronic circuits and devices.
  • Electronics and telecommunication engineering offers knowledge and practice to the aspirants in Electronics devices and circuits, Communication systems, Industrial electronics, Computer networks, Audio Video systems etc.
  • It enables the outgoing graduates to give justice to job assigned in electronics and telecommunication field.
  • After graduation in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, students can get jobs in various fields like core electronics companies, Embedded systems, Microprocessors, Telecommunications, Industrial Automation etc.
  • Student can get jobs in Public Sector like BSNL, BEL, BHEL, SAIL, ONGC, DRDO, ISRO, BARC etc.
  • In private sector there are thousands of industries where students can get jobs.
    • UG Programme in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering was started in academic year 1985-1986 with 30 intake.
    • The intake was increased to 60 in the academic year 1999-2000.
    • The intake was increased to 120 in the academic year 2012-2013.
    • PG Programme in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering was started in academic year 2015-2016 with 24 intake.
