A Webinar Series on “Post – Covid Situation in Electronics Engineering and Skills Expected for Future Growth” Organized by Department of Electronics Engineering, PVPIT Budhgaon (27th – 31st May 2020) Objective: • To create the awareness among students regarding the Post-Covid industry scenario and acquire skills to grab the future opportunities. The Webinar series was organized by Electronics Engineering department for Students and faculties to create the awareness regarding the Post-Covid industry scenario. Imminent resource persons were invited to deliver the sessions. Resource Persons: Mr. Sachin Vanjire, Assistant Manager, Dana Corporation, Pune: Topic: Post-Covid Industry Scenario Mr. Sachin has mainly focused on the bad and good parts of Covid-19 pandemic. He also guided the participants on the skills that must be acquired at the time of graduation to grab the job opportunities. Mr. Sushant Tapkire, IT Analyst, TCS, Pune: Topic: Web API Mr. Sushant discussed the concept and the need API for developing the various IT applications. The basic differences between the various programming languages and their significance in IT sector were the key points of his discussions. Mr. Amar Samarth, Cloud Practices Head, Tech Mahindra, Pune Topic: Cloud Computing Mr. Amar demonstrated the concept of cloud and cloud practices used by industry now days. He also discussed on the types and applications of cloud. He also agreed to extent the help as well as guide the students to develop cloud related project. Mr. Aniket Kulkarni, Assistant Manager, Tata Communications, Pune: Topic: Advancements & Opportunities in Computer Networking Mr. Aniket has started the discussed with need and scope of computer networking. महाविद्यालयास दोन पेटंट सांगली.
बुधगाव येथील पद्मभूषण वसंतरावदादा पाटील महाविद्यलायच्या मेकॅनिकल विभागातील अंतिम वर्षाच्या पाच विद्यार्थ्यांनी ” पोर्टबल रेस्क्यू वॉटर बोट” तयार केली. सुमारे एक वर्षभर त्यांनी याच्या डिझाईन वरती काम करून या बोटला पेटंट देखील मिळवले. पेटंट कंट्रोलर्स ऑफ डिझाईन, इंडिया कडे सादर केलेले पेटंट स्वीकारल्याचे त्यांना २५ मे २०२० रोजी समजले. प्रसाद कुंभार, ऋषिकेश चव्हाण, साहिल पवार, अपर्णा खोत, शाहीन मोमीन अशी या विदयार्थ्यांची नावे आहेत. या प्रोजेक्ट वरती काम करण्याची प्रेरणा त्यांना सांगली, कोल्हापूर व सातारा येथे ऑगस्ट- २०१९ मध्ये आलेल्या महापुरानंतर मिळाली. हि प्रेरणा घेऊनच त्यांनी बोट डिझाईन केली. त्यावेळी त्यांनी हा देखील विचार केला कि हि बोट सामान्य माणूस ही विकत घेऊ शकेल. ह्या बोट मध्ये, आणीबाणीच्या वेळेस किमान दोन लोकांना तरी रेस्क्यू करता येईल. तसेच आणीबाणीच्या वेळेस एक ठिकाणावरून दुसऱ्या ठिकाणी किमान ४० लोकांचे तरी जेवण नेता येणे शकय आहे. तसेच इतरवेळी बोटिंग करण्यासाठी ही ह्या बोट चा वापर करता येईल. या बोटच्या डिझाईन साठी प्रकल्प म्हणून मार्गदर्शक प्रा. पुरुषोत्तम पोळ यांनी काम पहिले. दुसरे पेटंट हे “शुगर केन लिफ्टींग मशीनला” मिळाले. उसाच्या शेतामध्ये ऊस काढून तो ट्रेलरमध्ये भरणे हे फारच कष्टाचे काम असते. कारण प्रत्येक मुळीचे सरासरी वजन हे 25 ते 30 किलो असते. ही अडचण लक्षात घेऊन महाविद्यालयातील मुलांनी त्याच्यावरती उपाय म्हणून शुगर केन लिफ्टींग मशीन डिझाईन केले. या मशीनला पेटंट कंट्रोलर ऑफ डिझाईन इंडिया ने मान्यता दिली. कृष्णा पोळ आणि संतोष होनराव या मेकॅनिकल विभागातील अंतिम वर्षाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी हे शुगर केन लिफ्टींग मशीन डिझाईन केले. या मशीनसाठी प्रकल्प मार्गदर्शक म्हणून प्रा. मुकुंद हरुगडे व प्रा. सुधीर अडसूळ यांनी काम पहिले. महाविद्यालयाचे विश्वस्त अमितदादा पाटील यांनी मागील दोन वर्षांपासून संशोधन आणि नावीन्यपूर्ण गोष्टी वरती भर देण्यासाठी आराखडा तयार केला. तसेच सांगली भागातील समस्या व अडचणी याच्यवरती संशोधन प्रकल्प करण्यासाठी विद्यर्थ्यांना व प्राध्यपकांना प्रोत्साहित केले. या सर्व बदलमुळे मागील सहामहिन्यामधील हे मेकॅनिकल विभागाचे पाचवे पेटंट आहे. या सर्वामध्ये महाविद्यालयाचे संशोधन व विकास सेलचे प्रमुख डॉ. नंदकिशोर ढवळे, इन्स्टिट्यूट इनोव्हेशन सेलचे समन्वयक प्रा. मुकुंद हरुगडे, मेकॅनिकल विभागाचे विभाग प्रमुख -प्रा. सी. जी. हारगे, प्राचार्य डॉ. डी. व्ही. घेवडे, डीन-संशोधन व विकास प्रा. एन. व्ही. हरगुडे आणि डीन-शैक्षणिक प्रा. कुंभोजकर यांच्याकडून मोलाचे मार्गदर्शन मिळाले. तसेच संस्थेचे विश्वस्त श्री. अमितदादा पाटील व अध्यक्ष श्री. विशालदादा पाटील यांनीही पेटंट मिळवण्यासाठी विद्यर्थ्यांना व प्राध्यपकांना प्रोत्साहन दिले. Webinar on Tyre-An Engineering
A webinar was organized for the students on 5th August jointly by Padmabhooshan Vasantraodada Patil Institute of Technology and Apollo Tires. Apollo Tires Fleet Manager Shri. Arvind Krishna guided the participants on the design and production methods of tires, the importance of the tire industry in terms of the automobile sector and its opportunities. At the end of the webinar, the head of the research department of Apollo Tires, Shri. Shankar Ganesh answered the questions of the students. About five hundred students from Maharashtra participated in this activity. Due to the spread of Corona, the educational work of the college is going on online. However, Dr. D. V. Ghewade, Principal of the Degree wing and Mr. Bajirao Patil, Principal of the Diploma wing are constantly striving for the academic progress and enlightenment of the students. The coordinator of the R & D Cell Dr. Nandkishor Dhawale and Mr. Arif Bookseller, Head of Placement cell are taken special efforts to organize this webinar. In the guidance of Mr. N.V. Hargude Dean R & D Cell and Mr. Mukund Harugade, Convener of Innovation Cell, Mr. Sandesh Awati, Shri. Sheetal Gunjate, Mrs. Ashwini Lad carried out the coordination work.

One day workshop on Wireshark Lab for S.Y. B. Tech (IT) Students held on 31st January 2019 . Mrs. Vinayshree S. Akkalkot was invited as resource person. She has around 13 years of experience in networking domain . Aim of this “wireshark lab” workshop was to educate and inspire students responsible for managing, troubleshooting, diagnosing and securing legacy and modern networks, and to encourage widespread use of the free analysis tool. Broad content for this workshop were- Introduction to Packet Capture tools – Installing Wireshark tool – Testing IP, TCP, ICMP flow through Wiresharktool – How to capture packet and identify the MAC address of source host & the destination host in the LAN – How to use the trace route commands
