1. PVP SAE CLUB
The SAEINDIA Collegiate Club at PVPIT is a vibrant chapter of SAEINDIA, an affiliate of SAE International, dedicated to advancing mobility technology in India. As a non-profit engineering society, SAEINDIA fosters innovation and collaboration among engineers, industry professionals, academics, and students. Our club provides a dynamic platform for PVPIT students to engage with cutting-edge automotive and aerospace technologies, network with industry experts, and participate in national and international events, empowering them to become future leaders in the mobility sector.

Participation in these events cultivates a wide array of skills essential for engineering professionals. Students develop technical skills in design, fabrication, CAD modeling, and programming through hands-on projects like BAJA, SUPRA, and drone development. Project management and teamwork are honed by collaborating on complex vehicle builds and meeting competition deadlines. Problem-solving and innovation are fostered through challenges like designing sustainable vehicles for EFFI-CYCLE or optimizing bicycle designs. Additionally, communication and leadership skills are enhanced through organizing events, presenting designs, and networking during workshops and industry visits. These experiences equip PVPI students with the expertise and confidence to excel in the global mobility industry.

2. PVP KARTING CLUB
The PVP Karting Club at P.V.P.I.T. College of Engineering stands as a testament to the power of collaborative engineering. Operating as a cohesive unit, the club provides students with a platform to hone essential skills such as communication, leadership, and teamwork qualities that are indispensable in real-world engineering projects, by participating in national level Go Karting events.
Students engaging in the complete lifecycle of go-kart development from design and fabrication to testing and racing, students gain invaluable hands-on experience. This immersive process not only reinforces theoretical knowledge but also fosters practical problem-solving abilities, preparing students for the complexities of the engineering profession.

3. ALUMNI ACTIVITIES
ALUMNI MEET 2024-2025
The Alumni Meet of 2012-13 batch was arranged on 19-20th April 2025. The meet was arranged by Mechanical Department of Padmabhooshan Vasantraodada Patil Institute of Technology (PVPIT) Budhgaon. It was arranged outside of campus at Kas Pathar, Satara. The arrangement was supervised under Dr. M. L. Haragude ( HOD, Mechanical Dept.), Mr. N. P. Ambole ( Alumni Cell Co-ordinator, Mechanical Dept.), Mr. S. S. Awati ( OSD, PVPIT ).
The meet was started as per schedule at 1 PM of 19th April 2025 with registration of Alumni of 2021-13 batch. Total 20 Alumni were registered. Firstly refreshment were served to arrived alumni. The inauguration function was stared at 3 PM with the introductory speech by Mr. N. P. Ambole ( Alumni Cell Co-ordinator, Mechanical Dept.). He welcomed all alumni and explained the agenda and purpose of the meet. After the welcome speech the introduction of all the alumni has done. All the alumni were shared their experience and expressed their gratitude toward PVPIT for providing opportunities to carrier building. After that a cultural program were arranged from 4 PM to 7 PM. All alumni were participated in cultural programme. After that the dinner were served to all alumni and called the day off.
The second day of meet started at 7 AM of 20h April 2025 with morning exercise and sport activity till 9 AM. After that breakfast were served to all alumni. Then a group meeting was called. In this group meeting all the alumni discussed their future plan and shared the contacts for any help in respective expertises. After that a site visit was arranged to back water of Koyana Dam and lunch were served to all alumni. The closing function was started at 2 PM. In this Mr. S. S. Awati ( OSD, PVPIT ), delivered the thanking speech and closed the alumni meet.
4. IIT BOMBAY OUTREACH PROGRAM

Overall Report
On March 7th, 2025, The Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Institute Innovation Council at PVPIT, Budhgaon, Sangli organized an outreach event in collaboration with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Bombay. The program aimed to introduce students and faculty to ongoing academic and research initiatives at IIT Bombay and to foster collaboration and motivation among aspiring researchers. The event was conducted on 7th March 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Seminar Hall, Department of Mechanical Engineering, PVPIT, Budhgaon.
Mr. Hrishikesh Jadhav, PhD Research Scholar @ IIT Bombay and Mr. Ketan Sakalkale, PhD Research Scholar @ IIT Bombay, Prime Minister’s Research Fellow were present in person at PVPIT for interaction.
Before starting in person interaction online session was conducted by IIT Bombay faculty experts.
Online Session details:
1.Welcome and Overview of MED-IITB Outreach – Prof. Avishkar Ranjan is faculty coordinator of IIT Bombay outreach program. On behalf of him, Prof Amit Agarwal had provided a 10-minute introduction regarding this program.
2.Presentation on Academic and Research Activities – Prof Darshan Shah sir was delivered the presentation detailed key research domains and academic opportunities.
After online session in person session was started by Mr. Hrishikesh and Mr.Ketan ie PhD Research Scholars from IIT Bombay. They were delivered a research talk on their PhD work. Each speaker presented for approximately 30 minutes. Q&A session facilitated engagement between the scholars and participants, encouraging discussion and deeper understanding of advanced research topics.
The interaction with IIT PhD scholars inspired students to pursue higher education and competitive fellowships like the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF). The event fostered institutional links between PVPIT and IIT Bombay, which may lead to future collaborations, internships, and mentoring opportunities. PVPIT faculty benefited from exposure to advanced research areas and methodologies, potentially guiding curriculum improvements and collaborative efforts.
The program could lead to the identification of potential research areas and projects that can be pursued collaboratively, benefiting both departments. The program was facilitated the exchange of ideas, research, and expertise between the two departments, leading to potential collaborations and joint research projects.
The IIT Bombay Outreach Program was a significant step toward academic collaboration and research awareness. It provided valuable insights into frontier technologies in mechanical engineering and inspired students to pursue research-oriented careers.
