WORKSHOP

Mission

To make Engineering workshop should focus on developing practical skills and preparing students for workforce. It should emphasize the importance of hands on experience, safety and the ability to apply industrial knowledge.

Goal

  • To provide exospore to students with hands on experience on various engineering practices.
  • To study and practice the various operations that can be perform in lathe, shaper, drilling, milling machines etc. and to equip with the practical knowledge required in the core industries.
  • To study and acquire knowledge on various basic machining operations in special purpose machines and its application in real time manufacturing of components in the industries.

Objectives

  • To develop a well-equipped central workshop facilities in modern manufacturing.
  • To develop interest to our first year students in modern areas of manufacturing practices.
  • To provide hand skill oriented education for UG to PG students.
  • To provide all support for students project, and research scholars for their experimental work.
  • To give the necessary inputs and guidance for advanced level job work in the institute through project work, research, training and consultancy services.
  • To develop innovative and research attitude in the students as well as teachers.

Utilization of Workshop Facility

Facility is used for UG & PG project work. Component manufacturing, experimental set up fabrication, assembly works is carried in workshop. Required material & guidance in production is provided by workshop. For PG students, experimental set up work required is fabricated in workshop.
