The University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted Academic Autonomy to Padmabhooshan Vasantraodada Patil Institute of Technology (PVPIT) starting from the Academic Year 2025–26 for both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs. Consequently, an independent Examination Centre has been established, enabling the institute to function autonomously in all academic and examination-related matters.
With autonomy, the institute now has the authority to frame its own Academic Calendar, design curricula and syllabi, conduct examinations, perform assessment and evaluation, and declare results. The degree, however, will continue to be awarded by Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere (DBATU), upon the successful completion of the respective programs.
The examination system is designed to be fair, efficient, reliable, and transparent. The Examination Cell has been structured to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations and the timely declaration of results, ideally within one week after the completion of exams.
To uphold high standards and enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency throughout the examination process, the institute has implemented several key measures. These include minimizing errors during paper setting, exam conduct, collection and coding-decoding of answer books, assessment and moderation, entry of marks on answer books, preparation of mark lists and ledgers, and generation of grade cards.
