Activity Details:
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a cleanliness and cleaning drive was conducted by the AI&DS Department. The faculty members, staff, and students actively participated in the cleaning process and cleaned the department premises.
The activity was conducted to promote the importance of cleanliness, hygiene, and the principles of Mahatma Gandhi among the students.
Parent Meeting Organized by CSE (AIDS) Department
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) organized a Parent Meeting for SY, TY, and B.Tech students on 1st October 2026. The meeting was coordinated by Mrs. M. R. Khare. During the meeting, Mrs. A. G. Chendke, Head of the Department, presented an overview of the department, highlighting its academic activities, achievements, and various events conducted throughout the year. A prize distribution ceremony was also organized, in which prizes were presented to students by the parents. The meeting was fruitful and provided a valuable opportunity for interaction between parents and the department.
Industry Visit to National Informatics Centre (NIC), Sangli
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science), PVPIT, Budhgaon, organized an industry visit to the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Collector Office, Sangli, on 28th September 2026.
During the visit, Mr. Anjinkya Patil, Network Engineer, NIC, conducted an informative session and explained the functioning of NIC and its networking infrastructure. He also demonstrated the live server room and video conferencing room, helping students understand their practical applications. Mr. Anil Chinchole, District Informatics Officer, interacted with the students and shared valuable insights into the role of NIC in delivering IT services and supporting government operations.
The visit provided students with practical exposure to networking infrastructure, server management, and real-world IT applications, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry practices.
The visit was organized under the guidance of Mrs. A. G. Chendke, Head of the Department, CSE (AIDS). Faculty members Mr. P. K. Mote, Ms. P. M. Jamdade, and Mrs. S. P. Patil accompanied the students.

Tinkering Lab Inauguration on Engineers’ Day
On the occasion of Engineers’ Day, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science) proudly inaugurated its Tinkering Lab on 15th September 2026.
The inauguration was graced by Mr. Vishal Patange, Director, David Adamson India Pvt. Ltd., as the Chief Guest, in the esteemed presence of the Deans and Heads of various departments.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who showcased their hands-on technical skills and creativity through various hardware-based activities. Students dismantled laptops and other electronic devices, identified and separated their components, and presented their functions and applications.
The Tinkering Lab has been developed under the guidance of Mrs. A. G. Chendke, HoD (AIDS), in coordination with Ms. P. M. Jamdade.
The department sincerely thanks Mr. Pankaj Marathe Sir and Mr. Sutar Sir for their valuable cooperation and support in making this initiative successful.

One-Day Linux Workshop
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) successfully organized a One-Day Linux Workshop for T.Y. and B.Tech. students.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Sharvari S. Solapure, Associate Professor, Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, along with Mr. Tejas Zende, Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli. Mrs. M. R. Khare gave a brief introduction to the guest, followed by the felicitation of Dr. Sharvari S. Solapure Madam by HoD Mrs. A. G. Chendke.
The session was truly wonderful, informative, and engaging. Students gained valuable knowledge and practical insights into Linux and its applications. Their active participation and positive response made the session highly successful, and the students were very happy with the learning experience. The workshop was arranged by Mrs. A. G. Chendke, HoD, with the support of the PVPIT Management.

???? Teachers’ Day Celebration – CSE (AI&DS)
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm and joy. Students organized various fun games and activities for the teachers, creating a lively and memorable celebration. As a part of the celebration, some students also took interactive lectures for their juniors, giving them an opportunity to experience the role of a teacher.
On this occasion, the department also organized an Article Writing Competition for students, coordinated by Ms. P. M. Jamdade Madam under the guidance of Mrs. A. G. Chendke, HoD, CSE (AI&DS). The winners were felicitated with certificates and prizes in recognition of their creativity and active participation. The celebration was an enjoyable and enriching experience for both students and faculty.
IGNITE – A Career Event for Developers
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science), PVPIT, Budhgaon, successfully organized "IGNITE – A Career Event for Developers" under the Alumni Cell for the Second Year CSE (AI & DS) students. The event aimed to strengthen the bond between alumni and current students while providing valuable career guidance and industry exposure.
The session was conducted by Mr. Om Nilesh Karande, an esteemed alumnus of the CSE (AI & DS) Department (Batch: 2025–26) and Founder & CEO of Imergence, Sangli. He shared his entrepreneurial journey and motivated students by discussing emerging technologies, career opportunities in the IT industry, and the importance of continuous learning and innovation.
Mr. Soham Phatak, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Imergence, delivered an informative session on Resume Building, highlighting the essential elements of a professional resume, common mistakes to avoid, and effective strategies to improve employability.
Another distinguished alumnus, Mr. Safin Bagwan, inspired the students by sharing his journey and providing valuable guidance on preparing for higher education (MS) abroad, including planning, skill development, and career opportunities.
The interns from Imergence, Mr. Deepak Patil, Mr. Rohan Shinde, and Ms. Poonam Shinde, interacted with the students and shared their practical experiences, learning journey, workplace culture, and professional growth after joining Imergence. Their experiences encouraged students to focus on skill development and industry readiness.
The event was organized by Mrs. A. G. Chendke, Alumni Cell Coordinator, and was smoothly conducted by Mrs. M. R. Khare. All the faculty members of the CSE (AI & DS) Department were present during the session.
The interactive event provided students with valuable insights into career planning, emerging technologies, resume preparation, higher education opportunities, and industry expectations. More importantly, it successfully fulfilled its primary objective of strengthening the relationship between alumni and students, fostering mentorship, networking, and collaboration for future professional growth.

Welcome and Orientation Program for Second-Year Students
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science) organized a Welcome Function for the Second Year students to familiarize them with the department's academic environment and opportunities. The programme was organized by Ms. R. T. Kore.
Mrs. A. G. Chendke, Head of the Department, welcomed the students and introduced them to the department, its vision, mission, and various academic and co-curricular activities. Mrs. M. R. Khare, Academic Coordinator, explained the academic structure and evaluation process, while Ms. N. R. Chaus briefed the students about training, internships, and placement activities.
During the programme, senior students of the department interacted with the Second Year students, sharing their experiences and motivating them to actively participate in technical activities, skill development programmes, and campus events.
The programme concluded with an Indoor Plantation Drive by the Second Year students, symbolizing growth, responsibility, and environmental awareness.We are very much thankful to I/C Director Dr. S.
