IGNITE – A Career Event for Developers
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science), PVPIT, Budhgaon, successfully organized "IGNITE – A Career Event for Developers" under the Alumni Cell for the Second Year CSE (AI & DS) students. The event aimed to strengthen the bond between alumni and current students while providing valuable career guidance and industry exposure.
The session was conducted by Mr. Om Nilesh Karande, an esteemed alumnus of the CSE (AI & DS) Department (Batch: 2025–26) and Founder & CEO of Imergence, Sangli. He shared his entrepreneurial journey and motivated students by discussing emerging technologies, career opportunities in the IT industry, and the importance of continuous learning and innovation.
Mr. Soham Phatak, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Imergence, delivered an informative session on Resume Building, highlighting the essential elements of a professional resume, common mistakes to avoid, and effective strategies to improve employability.
Another distinguished alumnus, Mr. Safin Bagwan, inspired the students by sharing his journey and providing valuable guidance on preparing for higher education (MS) abroad, including planning, skill development, and career opportunities.
The interns from Imergence, Mr. Deepak Patil, Mr. Rohan Shinde, and Ms. Poonam Shinde, interacted with the students and shared their practical experiences, learning journey, workplace culture, and professional growth after joining Imergence. Their experiences encouraged students to focus on skill development and industry readiness.
The event was organized by Mrs. A. G. Chendke, Alumni Cell Coordinator, and was smoothly conducted by Mrs. M. R. Khare. All the faculty members of the CSE (AI & DS) Department were present during the session.
The interactive event provided students with valuable insights into career planning, emerging technologies, resume preparation, higher education opportunities, and industry expectations. More importantly, it successfully fulfilled its primary objective of strengthening the relationship between alumni and students, fostering mentorship, networking, and collaboration for future professional growth.

Welcome and Orientation Program for Second-Year Students
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science) organized a Welcome Function for the Second Year students to familiarize them with the department's academic environment and opportunities. The programme was organized by Ms. R. T. Kore.
Mrs. A. G. Chendke, Head of the Department, welcomed the students and introduced them to the department, its vision, mission, and various academic and co-curricular activities. Mrs. M. R. Khare, Academic Coordinator, explained the academic structure and evaluation process, while Ms. N. R. Chaus briefed the students about training, internships, and placement activities.
During the programme, senior students of the department interacted with the Second Year students, sharing their experiences and motivating them to actively participate in technical activities, skill development programmes, and campus events.
The programme concluded with an Indoor Plantation Drive by the Second Year students, symbolizing growth, responsibility, and environmental awareness.We are very much thankful to I/C Director Dr. S.
